The A.C.A.B. is a Malaysian rock band. The band was formerly known as A.C.A.B. (All Cops Are Bastards) from 1994 to 2003 which popularized streetpunk/oi! in the Malaysian underground music scene. The band regrouped in 2005 while adopting indie rock as their genre.

The band was formed by vocalist Megat Hafiz (under the stage name Magskin) and guitarist Edy J. Herwan in Kuala Lumpur in 1994 and was joined by Anas on guitar, Sham on bass and Black on drums. They released a demo a year later and started gigging across Malaysia. In 1996 they released an EP titled Unite & Fight while Anas left the band.
In 1997 they released their debut album which was made out of a combination of the A.C.A.B. demo tape and the United & Fight EP. They gained a wider audience with the ska infused single "Fight For Your Rights". Eastern Oi! was released in the end of 1998 after Edy left. Their popularity increased within the underground scene while the band was associated with Malaysia's skinhead subculture which was receiving negative attention from the press.
They released a live album Live & Loud in 2000 with the band line-up consisting of Megat on guitar and vocals, Anas as bassist and Zul on drums. A.C.A.B. disbanded after playing their last gig in 2003 as Megat pursued his education overseas. Musicians that have played in A.C.A.B. continued their musical careers with their own bands such as Edy with Gerhana Skacinta and Irfan with The Times.
A.C.A.B. was recognized as The Godfather of streetpunk and oi! and inspired the birth of ska in Malaysia. A Tribute to A.C.A.B. was recorded by various artists under the Clockwork Records label in 2004 in honour of the band.

Megat returned home without completing his studies in the United Kingdom as he was a poor and uneducated Malay. A reformed skinhead and using the name Max Hafix, he decided to reformed the group with Edy, Irfan and Mono and adding "the" to the band's name as result of Megat's British influence. The band signaled their return with a performance at Rock the World gig in 2005 with a mix of old songs and new material. With music heavily influenced by the British indie rock and post-punk revival scene, The A.C.A.B. released This is The A.C.A.B. in 2006 drawing old as well as new fans to their new direction in music.

Thai Food
Thai food is known for spicy and hot. Thai people usually eat spicy. The most popular Thai foods are Tom-Yum-Goong or hot and spicy shrimp soup, Fried Noodles or pad Thai and Gaeng-Keaw-Waan-Gai or green curry with chicken.

The popular food in the North and the Northeast of Thailand is sticky rice with Som-Tum or papaya salad and Koi or sour chopped meat salad. And Thai desserts often made from sticky rice or coconut milk, flour, eggs and coconuts, such as Kaao Tom Mat or Sticky Rice and bananas and Bau-Loi Kai Waan or Rice Balls with Poached Eggs in Coconut Milk.

And Thai people like to eat Nam-Phrik with fried vegetables. Nam Phrik is a hot sauce, such as Nam-Phrik Pla Pon is made from dried fish or Nam-Phrik Kapi is made from a shrimp paste and chili sauce.

Many foreign people like to eat Thai food that spicy and hot. It is always popular for many people.

American fried rice
American fried rice (Thai: ข้าวผัดอเมริกัน, RTGS: khao phat amerikan, IPA: [kʰâːw pʰàt ʔameːrikan]; Malay: Nasi Goreng USA) is a Thai/Malay fried rice dish with "American" side ingredients like fried chicken, ham, hot dogs, raisins, ketchup, and croutons. Other ingredients like pineapple are optional. Because it was invented during the Vietnam War era to serve to United States Marine Corps and United States Air Force personnel stationed in Thailand, it is generally not found in Thai restaurants outside Thailand. With the recent[when?] proliferation of Thai restaurants, American fried rice is now appearing on Thai restaurant menus in the United States. The name comes from the fact that most of the ingredients are American or at least Western in origin.
The Malaysian equivalent of American fried rice, called Nasi Goreng USA, is made with many of the same ingredients.[1]

There are various types of restaurants. Restaurants fall into several industry classifications based upon menu style, preparation methods and pricing. Additionally, how the food is served to the customer helps to determine the classification.
Historically, restaurant referred only to places that provided tables where one sat down to eat the meal, typically served by a waiter. Following the rise of fast food and take-out restaurants, a retronym for the older "standard" restaurant was created, sit-down restaurant. Most commonly, "sit-down restaurant" refers to a casual dining restaurant with table service, rather than a fast food restaurant, where one orders food at a counter. Sit-down restaurants are often further categorized as "family-style" or "formal".
In British English, the term restaurant almost always means an eating establishment with table service, so the "sit-down" qualification is not usually necessary. Fast food and takeaway (take-out) outlets with counter service are not normally referred to as restaurants. Outside of North-America, the terms fast casual dining restaurants, family style, and casual dining are not used. Junk food establishments would also not often be referred to as a 'restaurant'.

Bunkface is a Malaysian Punk Rock band from Klang, formed in 2005. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Sam(Shamsul anuar), bass guitarist and backup vocalist Youk(Farouk Jaafar), Paan (Ahmad Farhan). Popular songs by Bunkface include Silly Lilly, Situasi, Revolusi, Prom Queen, Through My Window, Extravaganza, Soldier and most recently, World.






History

[edit]Lesson of the Season

In December 2007, Bunkface released their first EP titled "Lesson of the Season", featuring 6 English tracks, mixing a pop-punk/rock alternative sound. The hit song "Silly Lily" was number 1 on Suria.fm’s Malaysian Top Ten for 8 weeks and number 1 on Fly.fm’s Campur Chart for 10 weeks.

After their EP "Lesson Of the Season" in 2007, "Bunkface" then released their first Malay single titled "Situasi" in 2008. Originally the song was intended to be recorded in English, But Youk suggested the band to record it in Malay instead. Few months later, Situasi stormed the local Malay radio stations and hit number #1 on FLY FM and steadily stayed at #3 on ERA FM for 3 weeks. Bunkface won the Rockstar, Break Out as well as the Ultimate Shout! Award in the inaugural Shout! Awards which was organized by 8TV and held for the first time at the Stadium Bukit Jalil. Their achievements at the awards drew the interests of the organizers of the One Movement For Music Perth (OMFM), who subsequently invited them to perform at the festival which was held on the 16th to the 18th of October, 2009. This marked their first time performing overseas in Australia.[1]. The band also performed at the 02 music festival in Islington And Liverpool early october in 2010.

Bunkface joined the Everyone Connects campaign by TMNet and sung the song Through My Window which was used in the campaign's television advertisement. The song was first heard over the airwaves when an anonymous CD arrived at radio stations in the country.[2] This mystery generated an immediate buzz among the public, who wondered who the artist behind the song were. Bunkface's popularity soared when it was revealed they we're the artists. Discussed widely throughout Facebook and Twitter, the song was said by many to be viral and infectious. Its fan base so far numbers more than 17,000 and it has garnered more than 3.7 million online mentions and over 6,600 video and audio uploads on Facebook.[3] The song even attracted a large crowd to a public sing-along at Lorong Cungah Port Klang which also became the largest sing-along event in Malaysia.[4]

In March 2010, Bunkface released their debut full album, Phobia Phoney. Phobia Phoney is made up of 6 English songs and 4 Malay songs. It is including their hit singles such as "Situasi", "Revolusi", "Extravaganza" ,"Prom Queen", "Soldier" , "Escape Dance" and "World".

In mid-2010 Sam has formed a side project called The Azenders along with his friends from other bands such as Izal(Bass) from One Buck Short, Ajam(Synth/Strings) from Dichi Michi, and Kudut(Drummer) from Robot Asmara and has released their first single on Facebook, Myspace page called "Ladies & Gentlemen" and is now getting frequent plays on local radio stations. The band has also released "Peribadi" recently, another single.





Style and influences

While BuNkface are primarily considered as Punk Rock,Alternative Rock , band has cited Sum 41, Green Day, and Blink 182 as their main influences.
